Bacteria are tiny organisms that are present almost everywhere, even inside our body. Most of them are harmless to us. There are trillions in our body and help us to survive. While some of the bacteria are harmful and can kill you by invading your body.

Until past century, millions of people used to die every year due to infections caused by bacteria. Then we discovered Antibiotics, a super drug that can kill majority of bacteria fairly quickly. These antibiotics attack bacteria and disrupts its metabolism so they cant reproduce and eventually killing them and without any major side effects.

Super bacteria
But, Bacteria are evolving and becoming immune to antibiotics by pure random chance based on Darwin's theory of Evolution. To make it more clear, lets consider a group of people attack your house and invaded your house. Now next time to prevent such attack, you will maintain security and take preventive measures. Similarly, bacteria are evolving, becoming immune to most of the antibiotics which they eventually become Super Bacteria or Super Bugs. Such Super Bacteria already exist which are immune to multiple antibiotics.

Antibiotics should be a last-resort medicine which are meant to kill deadly disease causing bacteria, while what we do? We consume antibiotics freely and without care, even for minor cold or cough. On the other hand many animals that we consume are given antibiotics to prevent them from diseases. So, we are eventually consuming antibiotics frequently eventually making a super bacteria that can kill billions. Antibiotic Apocalypse is a serious issue and most of us are really unaware of it. So, next time you consume antibiotics, think if its too necessary and try to go for its alternatives.
